Since it has been announced, that some of the developments done for the 918 Spyder might arrive in the 911 sometime, the car is certainly of interest to all Turbo likers.
Over a year ago Porsche was projecting a Nordschleife lap time of 07:15. Meanwhile they raised the car's power to a combined output of unbelievable 887 bhp (608hp from the 4.6l V8).
The Spyder now lapped the Nordschleife in 06:57! Astonishing. Porsche has released two videos to document the accomplishment. Walter Röhrl, Porsche test driver Timo Kluck and Porsche factory driver Marc Lieb all drove lap times below 07:00, but it was Marc Lieb setting the 06:57 record time.
